Having only been in the financial services industry just short of a decade, Patrick Assalone has already outperformed, outmaneuvered and outmatched the majority of his pro trader colleagues. Considering his previous career, Patrick's rapid success is not surprising.
Patrick is a retired WEF (World Extreme Fighting) Lightweight World Champion. You might say he is an intense guy.
In 2003 he was lured to Wachovia Securities where he quickly succumbed to black gold. It turned out to be a perfect marriage (for a while anyway).
Patrick's style focused on good win to loss ratios. He found his expertise liberally trading crude, natural gas and producer equities not only for his clients, but for his personal account as well. Doing this helped Patrick learn the standard Market Profile Methodology, which is a technical tool traders use to maximize their profits.
Patrick mastered equities in short order. But his real passion was in commodities and futures contracts. And his personal account said so. For this reason he left Wachovia in 2007 to focus on commodities.
Later that year Patrick joined Alterna Capital Management, an industry leader in asset management that specializes in alternative high growth investment strategies for high net worth clients. Alterna gave Patrick significant freedom to trade his own money.
This freedom proved to be good for Patrick and bad for the firm. He left Alterna in 2009 to trade on his own.
You'll be hard pressed to find a more dedicated trader than Patrick Assalone. His unconventional and distinctive style makes him, in my opinion, the ultimate resource for training in the industry. Patrick specializes in the overnight, premarket opens and the European DAX open. He focuses aggressively on crude oil, natural gas, gold, wheat, soybeans, the DAX and Emini S&P (ES).
