After many years of losing money in the markets and taking many courses that promised to teach me how to trade I have to say I am very lucky to have found Larry Levin and his TA trader course. I took an FX course and watched the trader live while he revenge traded. I have taken a very expensive options course that taught me how all the options trades work but not how to trade. I have even "invested" in private mentoring that did nothing to help me understand the market.

Larry, we have made our 4 points or more everyday so far but one, and on that day we were only 1/4 pt. shy.
We feel it has a lot to do with lack of fear/pressure from trading with real funds. We are both working on our mindset (Psycho-Cybernetics) in order to maintain this feeling of "freedom', so to speak.

I have been using Trading Advantage for over 4 years and have learned how to make money consistently. After sim trading for a few months you should be able to make the money you have put into the course while learning how to trade the markets on your own. This is the only trading course I would recommend because it is the only that has worked for me.

Just wanted to send a quick thank you email and highlight the really good coaching i have been getting from Patrick.
I have been trading full time for several years and doing decently well; I have been looking to take my trading the next level and last week I touched base with my consultant and got to know what your team and you are doing. I signed up for the 'gold package' (e.g. $ 9K) as I want the 'gold returns'!
I started being in the room on Monday December 6th (2 days ago!) and started attending the classes on the same day; last evening's class was great. I took advantage of Patrick's teaching in the class and used the MP to place a long trade in the globex session; once I got the stop to be at entry I went to bed and got up to a 40 point winner; took my profits and went for a coffee!
I am very pleased with the teaching and all aspects of the relationship with your team; as I get to know the approach better I look to bigger and better things in the future.
In the meantime I just want to say that Patrick is a great talent; keep him happy!

Started with TA in May of 2010. Spent about 3 months reading the material, taking the Consistent Trading Class online and participating in the Dan's room. I paper traded to assist in my learning of the rules. I also spent time reading "The New Psycho-Cybernetics" to improve my ability to trade the rules without emotion.
After being successful paper trading for about a month and a half I started trading with real money. I did well for the 1st two weeks. Then had two bad days when it seemed I forgot everything I learned about following the rules, trading what I was seeing and not thinking I was smarter than the Market. At that time I decided to take a break and sign up for the Market Profile class. I found the Market Profile material to be excellent. It seemed to be a great compliment to the Consistent Trading Material. I spent a couple of months learning this material, spending time in Patrick's room and paper trading by combining the Market Profile material with the Consistent Trading material. Looking for even higher probability trades with bigger moves (versus the scalping approach in Dan's room) seemed to be more of a fit with my emotional make up and my preferred trading style.
The result of the past 10 months has been:
The evolution of TA in the past 10 months has been great. The way Patrick's and Dan's rooms work now are a big improvement. Dan continues to do what he has done. He is great at explaining what he sees and how he applies the trading rules. He is successful and allows a newer student to learn from his experience. Patrick's room is available at a better time and his calling of MP trades and his explanations during the time he is in the room are very beneficial. As a life time member the ability to retake classes and continually participate in the trading rooms is fantastic. I have more confidence than ever that I will continue to develop into a very successful trader. I know that to be successful takes work - learning the material, practicing and developing patience and discipline. The lifetime membership allows for continue learning support as I grow to be successful. A few months alone is not enough to become successful. In addition the updates the come as TA continues to improve its offerings are very valuable as I grow along with TA.

The extended time for Patrick's trading room is just what I needed to further my learning about the Market Profile.
Patrick's comments kept me out of 2 trades, which I would have normally taken, which turned out to be stopped out. It was the details, specific to this day in the market, that he was able to identify as not favorable. This is kind of information you cannot learn in = book, but only from experience during market conditions.

Thank you for allowing Patrick to discuss trades and explain his rationale during the morning. Real time learning is so much better than hindsight analysis learning. I missed the one trade he called this morning, but did not lose money that i would have lost by taking other trades which Patrick saved me from by explaining why they were too risky.
He is a great teacher (and entertaining as well). An open letter to trading students:
Day-trading was not my original career plan! I was downsized after 40 years in the medical electronics industry - too late in life to start over. I wondered about getting more involved in the stock market, but couldn't see how to make money picking stocks in this severely depressed economy and unpredictable stock market. I had watched my 401K wax and wane over the years - mostly wane with the current economic conditions. If I wanted to be able to make money - whether the market went up or down, the only answer was trading futures.
I had always been apprehensive about trading stock futures, because of the inherent risks involved - until I discovered Larry Levin and Trading Advantage®. Hope this email finds you well. I'd like to express my complete satisfaction with the education I have gained as client of Secrets of Traders. I started with the SOT course and was in the one when Patrick first taught it. I learned a lot from the class and Patrick along with being in the VTR and Dan.
I feel ever since I started in Patrick's MP class it has taken me to a new place in my trading. By no means am I saying I'm there yet, but his ability to teach and explain is only surpassed by the desire of seeing his students succeed. He is a born educator and a tremendous assets to any organization he hangs his hat with. I'm glad it is here.
I am doing this as a full time career and feel the opportunities are so great for anyone who is willing to learn and give it time. I enjoyed meeting you and your team in Boulder and am glad that you are embracing our users groups. I am convinced that TA will continue to grow and students-traders will prosper as we move to an all-electronic marketplace.
I also wanted to let you know that I am very supportive of your new format in the Overnight Room. I've spent the last several months learning the TA methodologies and the Market Profile is the focus of my study. I believe the new Overnight format will help me better select trades, conserve trading capital and maintain trading discipline. While I do trade with other TA students who focus on the Market Profile (private chat room) we are all learning and participating in an open forum in the Overnight Room will greatly enhance our understanding and success.
As a side note, I traded ER Futures in the past successfully ( a "C - " really!) and while I consistently reached my trading goals, discipline was lacking at times. Additionally, I was searching for a way to see volume to better understand the "real" activity in the market predicting that I could move from scalping a point or so to trading for larger price targets with less risk. The best I could do was watch delayed volume action and listen to Traders Audio to monitor market activity. When I toured the TA VTR and was introduced to the Delta Chart and then the Market Profile I knew that I only half comprehended what was possible when understanding volume action. Additionally, I wanted to continue to refine my trading with likeminded traders. Committing to TA as a life time student allows me =o strive to be an "A" student-trader with the support of an organization and traders that strive for the same qualities - lifelong learning, adaptation and success.

I got to tell you Patrick and his MP trading method have changed my life in the trading world. It's not magic I know, but it helps to qualify trades like nothing I have ever seen...pure volume. It's not 100% but between that and the algo ...

This note is a rather lengthy, "Thank you" for helping me to become a successful trader. I have only been your customer since Feb, 2010 but the success I am just now starting to enjoy comes after a pretty long road of adverse results dating all the way back to 1992 when I was first introduced to the futures markets.
When I first started (literally) "fooling around" with futures, paying $75 a round trip to test out my broker's ideas, calling my broker for price updates every afternoon and updating paper charts by hand in the evening, then drawing lots of lines on the pages, I had no clue whatsoever how things really worked in auction markets. After that early, introductory punch in the gut, I was in and out of trading a number of times over the years using various systems, platforms, contracts, books, seminars and "can't miss" techniques from Appel to Zweig, Bollinger, Murphy, Williams, Elliot waves, Gann Cycles, Fibonacci retracements, etc., etc. I was a good example of someone experiencing serious frustration and growing losses in the futures markets. With just enough success each time to keep my optimism up, I got kicked in the teeth and separated from my money more times than I care to recall... to the tune of ~$100K... to me, quite a bit of dough.
When I started considering Trading Advantage® back in December, last year and soon after became a customer, it was as "the last hurrah" before I finally would give up futures trading as impossible before losing yet another account. Thanks to Dan Gerstenmeier's interventionist sales call with me last June, I stuck with TA and started attending Patrick Assalone's classes in July. By the way, Dan is a great sales guy and really helped me think through things and put everything in context/perspective and most of all not to give up quite yet!
Patrick has been the difference maker for me... I would be gone and done with the markets were it not for his teaching and coaching. So, at this point, I just want to add my accolades for Patrick to the chorus you are no doubt hearing most every day... and tell you a bunch of stuff you probably know already!
I quickly learned from Patrick that I was one of the "smart guys" that was losing over and over trying to outsmart the market. BUT, understanding that and doing something positive about it are two completely different things! There is an unlearning that has to take place. So, I continued being "smart" for a while even with Patrick's guidance because though hearing, I wasn't really listening. Fortunately I was getting ripped up and frustrated on the simulator (in the gym) rather than "in the cage."
Patrick IS a market wizard... unbelievable at times... but he is moreover a great educator. I understand this because I have been a very successful educator myself for a number of years in technology. He explains and demonstrates over and over again what he is doing and presents a coherent, repeatable trade qualification method that, oh, by the way, ACTUALLY WORKS!
I heard that a few students have complained about his style... his brashness or language or whatever. This sounds like sour grapes to me. I cannot recall Patrick ever saying anything that would offend a reasonable adult and definitely NEVER anything personal toward anyone. He never tries to make people feel stupid (even the people that do appear to be truly stupid, hahaha... like me, perhaps?). He is respectful of students and where they are at and HIGHLY ENCOURAGING to everyone in the class... over and over again telling us that we can be successful with patient, intelligent effort. I have observed Patrick's never-ending willingness to answer every question (even repeat after repeat after repeat), stay late if necessary to discuss things, and do anything else he can to help students. He is very patient and unqualifiedly passionate about his students' achieving success! He takes constructive criticism very well and implements positive changes in the room when it makes sense. His trading/training room is very professional and a great learning environment.
Many nights in class, after thinking I knew it all then having blown myself out on the simulator that day, I just got pissed off sitting there listening to him say the same stuff over and over and over again... until I FINALLY realized I had not really been listening to (i.e., applying) some of the most important things:
Patrick Assalone has REALLY changed things for me! He is a fantastic coach!
While Patrick's method is truly great and incredibly insightful, it is the discipline he teaches that is providing the most value for me. Finally, about a month or so ago, I realized I was starting to "get it." Follow the method and you don't have to think so hard... trade ideas don't really need to be " figured out." A trade idea qualifies or doesn't and most strong don't; so relax, keep breathing and if there is no trade, stay out! EASY!
I still have a lot to learn and far to go to reach my longer term goals, but now when I make mistakes, I have the tools to recognize whether or not old, bad habits are the problem and save myself a lot of stress and a lot of money! I am profitable almost every day and have a definite plan for trading, money management, scaling up my trading practice, etc. I would not have accomplished this without Patrick's guidance.
I am a definite proof case for the incredible value that Patrick brings... if the student will just LISTEN to him and put in the work, the discipline and patience needed to be successful.

This morning 1/5/11, I took a trade based on parameters and it did not work out so I was down -150; but a little while later another trade presented itself with all qualifiers and when all is said and done on that trade I gain back the $150 then wind up positive $12.50. As stated to Patrick and now to you this WORKS!! The parameters of trades are there for your students to take advantage of if they really want to. Just like many other traders, lost lots of $ with other methods and other forms of trading.
Since joining TA I have learned a true way of trading the futures with a proven system that gives u an edge.
Most important, I have learned about money management, being selective and, trading with a plan. At the beginning of my training I learned the hard way by loosing my first 4k. Most of the losses due to overtrading and stupid mistakes. I stopped trading and joined the evening sessions with Patrick Assalone and with his advice , his passion and fire, I have come a long way. I'm ready to get back in the line of fire, I feel more confident and I can see clearly now the whole picture. I found out that scalping is not for me and that patience while waiting for set ups to materialize is the way to go.

In addition to my testimony on that site, I'd just like to say, that, while I'm still a little overwhelmed with the idea of trading live (not ready for that, yet), I'm really happy with the training from Patrick Assalone and the support he gives to each person who has a question in class. Even the more seasoned students which Patrick designates are helpful in the learning process.
When I signed up for the December class to start, I was invited to "sit in" on the classes from about mid-November. Doing that made me think I was crazy for even trying to learn to trade. I just didn't know the terminology, or anything about mini-S&P 500 trading. But with repetitive training, I feel that I have learned through a layered approach. Each time I take a class I learn a little more and add to what was learned before.
The archived classes, now with updated videos, offer a chance to dig a little deeper into the well of knowledge that Trading Advantage® offers. I love to learn - anything really - but especially something like this that can offer us a chance to trade responsibly and minimize losses while looking for the right opportunities to get into trades.

I read the trading material and because one manual was the Overnight Trading Manual I didn't even look at it for 3 months because I didn't have any plans on staying up during the overnight session. During the summer, which is not the best time to trade anyway I fought old habits but mostly lost. Max draw down was $3,200 by the end of September. (Coincidence that today's newsletter has a picture of Steve Martin because at my max loss, my wife renamed me the same name as Steve Martin's dog in The Jerk after the motel evacuation.)
At that point I started looking into the Market Profile material and trying to be more selective with my trades and had clawed my way to being only $800 down when I took another dive to $960 down at which time I decided to stop until the new manual came out.
I don't feel that I know enough to be able to offer any constructive suggestions for improving the course. Part of what makes trading so difficult is that I always think I must be doing something which of course leads to overtrading. Developing patience and dealing with boredom have been major obstacles for me, not to mention a wife.
I sign into both rooms. Both Lt. Dan (making me Forrest Gump) and Patrick are clearly the best traders I have come across. I have attempted many approaches over the last 25 years and have not seen anybody that shows their actual trading results, which tells me that their results are probably about as poor as mine.
Just want to hang in there until I get this figured out and can make some money. Thanks for your help.

I've been impressed with the Trading Advantage® team since signing up in November. The sales consultant worked with me, to arrange a payment schedule that fit my budget. I really enjoy the classes, always something to learn! Dan & Pat, are incredibly patient, and explain things until everyone is clear on the subject! With my unpredictable schedule, it very nice to be able to go back and review the classes I've missed, thanks for having everything archived. Its great to have Larry sit in once in a while just to see how things are going! I'm still learning on Sim, and slowly getting better. I have been day trading for only a few years and along with the rest of you have taken seminars, attended many webinars, participated in six or seven trading rooms and purchased software and indicators but have not achieved the success I desired. I hesitantly enrolled in the Trading Advantage® program 4 months ago and am glad I did for the simple reason that learning the Market Profile approach is a real eye-opener and I would highly recommend it especially to experienced traders. The combination of the market depth/internal charts that the Trading Advantage® software provides along with the "high value areas" that are derived from market profile charts by Patrick Assalone (before the market opens) is uncannily accurate at picking turning points intra-day and well worth the tuition cost.
My only negative about the methodology is that the really good set ups seem to come only once or twice a day and you have to be exceedingly patient (which I personally am struggling with).
What really was the selling point for me signing up was the participation in live trading sessions every morning and the classrooms discussions every night. I have never heard of another training program that lasts for a year. Those of you that have taken other courses have learned the theory but the examples aren't duplicated in live trading. But being able to watch it applied in real-time day after day is "priceless" in terms of learning curve. So if you're willing to spend the time to learn and watch it in action, then it is well worth it.

Here's one more post for "Trading Advantage®" . I'm a 6 month student and about a 5 year part time futures trader. I contacted them in August of last year and didn't feel the sales pressure was all that high, however after joining I had a hard time getting up to speed. It seemed chaotic, I received their materials but it didn't include a course plan outline, and I wasn't sure what to do 1st, 2nd ... and so on. In their defense, I didn't call and ask and figured I'd study the material, log into the trading rooms, and eventually catch up. After about 2 months of attending the nightly classes and watching archived classes, I began to feel better about joining. Now after 6 months and sim trading since the first couple of weeks at first using mostly my old methodology/then folding in each new lesson/idea as learned I feel fortunate I made the call and joined. I would recommend "Trading Advantage®" even though it is rather expensive.

I started with Larry last summer, up till this time I had only traded options, had been receiving Larry's daily news letter and watching his results. I joined with an open mind. The instructor, Patrick, teaches sound methods to make money for yourself, this is not a they do it for you system. I now trade with larry's group every day. the students in the room are helpful. The charts and systems they use are like no others I've seen, using Market Profile and a tape/delta system that is like the holy grail. I would strongly recommend this system for anyone interested in making money trading futures. One of the most positive things they teach is to learn, practice on a simulator until you have mastered the trading, they want you to make money trading what is front of you. no carrying trades overnight so less stress.

I compared the secrets of traders course to others of similar pricing. I attended free previews offered by secrets of traders and other companies. I'm glad I chose secrets of traders. They offer strategies and techniques not offered anywhere else. During the day there are two live rooms available where you can see them call trades as they setup in real time. Both moderators answer questions from students of all levels.
Classes are held four nights a week, and if you miss them you can watch them from the archives section.

After seeing how the trading room is run and how all the traders and moderator interact in the online trading room, I realized this is a great opportunity for me, someone who has never traded before. They provide clear, concise instruction, during live trading. They call trades, they explain what is happening in the market. The chat in the trade rooms is friendly, fun, and educational. If you are a swing trader or a scalper, you will be at home here. All the other folks in the room are very helpful. The moderators are all very helpful. Questions are always welcome. The online classes are excellent, usually about 45 minutes to an hour in length, covering many trades, and trading topics. You get video lessons followed up with Q & A sessions. And if you cannot make a webinar, they are all recorded. You can review the recorded webinars as many times as you like.

Hey guys, I am a lifetime member of Secrets of Traders and am committed to what they teach. They teach mechanical ways to trade - which is what most traders want and will only commit the time and work to learn - and they teach the art of trading the e-mini. I decided to take the time to learn the art of trading the e-mini. The tools I use are Market Profile - taught by Patrick Assalone - and the market delta and trading the tape - taught by Dan O'Brian.
I trade momentum and reversals of momentum with the insight of the tape and the market structure as portrayed by Market Profile. I am a scalper that can also swing trade with my runners - period. I can see immediately when my trade is not going to work out - within a 2 to 4 tick range - and can re-evaluate the price action at my levels to re-enter the trade. I am not afraid to trade since I know so much about price action and levels. I don't need the room anymore, but I like the atmosphere, my trading buddies, and have a lot fun there.
You can trade what you want - Gann, Elliott Wave, whatever. Price only goes up or down, and if you do not know the structure of the market and where volume is, and you don't know what is really going on with price as your chart is building across your screen, then you are trading with one eye closed.
As with everything, it takes a lot of hard work. You are trading with the best traders and best trading algorithms in the world - you don't think that takes time to learn? It sure does - learning to trade the e-mini takes TIME and HARD WORK.

I am a student with Trading Advantage® since August 2010. I am a senior citizen and wanted to learn something different. The education I am receiving in Patrick Assalone and Dan O'Brian's room is fantastic. I had tried trading the e-mini S&P a long time ago, but found it too confusing. Now I am understanding what to look for in a trade and how to place them at the correct time. Also, a major part of trading is staying out of the market when there isn't a real trade to take therefore, NOT losing any of my capital. All in all, Trading Advantage® has always been fair to me and I will recommend it to anyone who is interested in doing the homework to learn what the teachers are telling us. The material that we get is very easy to understand, but it is up to each individual to take the time to read and learn it. I am very glad that I signed up for the Trading Advantage® Course.

I have been with Larry Levin Secrets of Traders for about 3 months, and I must say that it is a truly positive experience from the beginning, when the salesman answer all my questions and overcame all my objections by demonstrating in a live session why this program is full proof.
The fact that you can follow the trading session live every day is a testimony to the trading techniques and a validation of the program.
For a beginner, the first weeks were like learning a new language, being out of my element, without references. it was so different than what I knew about trading! Of course, this stage is only temporary. You get everything you need to understand the trading techniques. I've found the leadership (Larry) to be very professional and attentive to the student's requests, and the trainer (Patrick) to be one of the best online educators I've had a chance to listen to. The material is based on Market Profile and I challenge anyone to find a more experienced trader in MP than Patrick and Dan. Excellent program. I forgot to mention the customer service ... whenever I had a need to contact the CS folks at Trading Advantage® I always reached the resource I needed and came away with the answers to my questions. Overall, I have only high words of praise for the Trading Advantage® program and the folks that run it. :)

I've been with Trading Advantage® since September 2010 after trying other programs this is by far the best mentoring i have ever had in trading futures. There are a lot of programs out there that don't go close to Trading Advantage®, Patrick Assalone is a great mentor and i haven't had any problems with sales staff. The program is expensive but you have to pay for quality, i am happy i joined up and i believe the people at Trading Advantage® do care about their customers results.

I have been trading futures for about 3 years prior to singing up for their program (albeit very spottily). As I am unlearning some very bad habits, I am beginning to see the very real value in Larry's method and training, especially "reading the tape" and market profile.
I am not there yet...but I am gaining on it.

Well I am a current student of his, and have taken other courses and forex mentorships. His by far is heads a tails above the rest. I am forex no more because of what I have learned in his rooms. Yes I said rooms! He now has two styles, scalping and swing trading and they are amazing. You are not fed trades...you are taught how to identify and take them yourself so that you don't have to be a part of the rooms full time if your goal is to trade alone. They do tell you what trades they are taking and why...but you must learn to trade it yourself! They insist on it! The real beauty of this is that you can take this style and apply it to other contracts..not just the e-mini S&P. He has brought on one of the best market profile traders around that has floor trading experience in the oil pit. He is tough as hell but truly desires you to learn and walk on your own two feet. Hello I am a student of Larry's and his Trading Advantage® crew. I have been there for about 5 months and am enjoying the classes tremendously. I was especially impressed by the level of instruction and the dedication of their instructors. Due to popularity the course has grown in leaps and bounds with new students added monthly. We are taught all the basics that are required and the course is ongoing for anyone wanting to repeat the course. All students are given free rein to enter any of the trading or classrooms (classes being in session) at will.
At first it seemed overwhelming with the amount of stuff I got, a duffel bag full of books...these are to be used in conjunction with the class. But they have overcome that by streaming beginners into the beginner's level sessions and they have come out with a new book, all in one volume to help us remember all the trades.
They use two systems: scalping and swing. Beginners learn the swing method employing Market Profile techniques and their priority charts (copyrighted) with parameters that are just right to get best results. There is nothing like it. Moderators are in the rooms instruction us how to trade, when to trade and when to NOT enter into a "losing" trade.
What I enjoy best about Trading Advantage® is the chat room. I have made many friends there and if I don't understand anything type in the question and it will be answered promptly by either other students or the instructor or their moderator assistants.
We are given strict guidelines as to our graduating from trading off of simulators and into real trade with real dollars. Our trades follow previously tested and tried methods, so you really cannot go wrong!
By the way trades are called in an indirect way....all support and resistance levels are announced and we are taught to make our own trades....We are reminded about trading rules with the intent of saving our money ...it may be a liability issue but anyways personally I am learning to recognize good trades from the poor ones and learning to be self-sufficient at it.

TradingAdvantage.com from Larry Levin (often interviewed on financial news networks, CNBC and CNN) provides very valuable education for anyone, including current ES mini traders, whom wishes to improve their trading performance.
Trading stocks and options, including gap theories, for many decades seemed like a good start for going into ES mini's. Wrong! This is a different animal with different rules. DO NOT TRY IT ON YOUR OWN.
Levin's course begins by stressing learn first, profit long term. # 1 rule of trading is conserve your principle.
They provide a month of classes to gain the necessary knowledge of the concepts and the successful trading rules. You can try to accelerate that by watching the archived classes that are available for viewing on your schedule. BUT you will miss the opportunity to really interact with the teacher and other students. Once the month is completed, you are encouraged to continue attending the classes for as long as you like to enhance your understanding.
Daily there are two trading rooms with live trades being called out for copying or improving on, if you are ready. Learn by following at first. But they stress they are a teaching organization and that you must eventually pick your own trades. The class room needs to be conservative due to the wide variety of expertise of the trading community in the rooms.
The chat rooms are very friendly with everyone trying to improve each others success.

It is not easy but trading futures is never easy. It takes a lot of work and study but the outcome and income is tremendous.

I subscribed to Larry's lifetime deal last November, after trying a number of other trading programs in the past 10 years.
Another mentor I had years ago, taught me to use Keltner channels, with moving averages fibs, along with understanding the market flow and reading the volume bars. But I was never able to master those techniques, since I felt uncomfortable with trading against 50%, 62%, and 78% pullback as measured by the Fibs. They never felt like real support and resistance areas.
I have spent, the last 4 months studying the setups, and looking at the results. They have 2 trading rooms, one for scalping and the other for longer term traders which is based on market profile charts.
The Market Profile is led by Patrick. He does not call out many trades, but coaches you and gives you the areas where he believes the market will find support or resistance based on volume. He posts those areas 24 hours in advanced, so we can trade against those areas. I am amazed at how often the market will move to one of those support areas and reverse.
The information presented in this course, is the data that I have been missing for the past 8-10 years, and is making a big difference in my profitability.

I have been a member of traders advantage for about 6 months. My experience with them has been outstanding. For starters they have excellent customer service and have always been prompt with any questions or difficulties I might have, which have been very few. The materials provided are some of the best I've seen. Through, clear, and concise in regard to what their approach and style of trading is and how to use it become a great trader. The nightly classes are a blend of videos, interactive chat, and live teaching by Patrick, both of TA's technique and the day's trade review. That brings me to the main instructors and live traders, Dan and Patrick. Both are unquestionable professionals. They each take the time throughout the day to call trades, explain entries and exits, as well as market conditions. Somehow they manage to answer everyone's questions and still call out trades! Patrick is a master at Market Profile while Dan can weave you through the in's and out's of reading the tape so you can understand what the market is telling you. Everyone, Dan, Patrick, and especially Larry have the goal of making us all great traders and have shown this in their dedication to all of their students. It may not be for everyone but it is an excellent program that deserves a serious look if you want to succeed with futures trading.

One thing i can say is i wish i had come across this course and these techniques some time ago. The methods being taught and the dedication by all involved, separates it from the rest of the industry by a large standard. They sell this course to help you because they actually WANT you to be successful. It is not a dine and dash where they take your money and forget about you. There are evening classes, live, where you may ask questions, along with real time trading rooms where you follow the market every day, and they explain their methods and techniques every step of the way. There are methods i have never heard of or seen before and this is my third time in the futures market. The effort put forth by the team is more than you will find in any other program. And most of all..... the methods work. Best trade i have ever made in the futures market was signing up for this course.

I have been involved with Larry Levins Secrets of Traders for almost 10 months now. In that period of time I have gone from someone with zero knowledge and experience of the S&P mini, to a trader with great insight and instinct in trading. The good thing about SOT is that they deliver on their promises. The star there, at least in my experience is Patrick, who is fantastic in his analysis of market conditions. When he says, "don't trade this market", he is usually right, and no Barnes and Noble trading book can give you that insight. His dedication and knowledge of the topic is in-depth and consistent, and he genuinely cares about his students and their results. The other instructor is Dan, he is great too, and calls the trades live. His advice and guidance are invaluable as well. The service at SOT isn't cheap, but quality never is. The number of trades Patrick has advised me in not taking has saved me thousands of dollars, and will save me in the future as well. No Barnes and Noble book can give that insight.

I have been a member for about six months and appreciate that you can go at your own pace. I don't have a lot of time, but have unlearned about half of what I need to.
This is not a cookie-cutter course. Much is made about your personality and the type of trader you might become with that personality. There are two rooms; one caters to scalpers and one to longer term swing (day)trading using market profile. Ideally, once you figure your style, you can pick and choose. Discipline is the only thing valued. We all know how easy it is to keep buying highs and selling lows if your mind is a tick or two out of sync or you lash out in greed or panic.
It is expensive, but not in comparison to the potential it offers... if you are committed. And you can become committed over time.
What comes through most to me is that these are people truly committed to educating you to make your own choices and to make you realize that you are responsible for them. If you can't justify the trade, maybe you shouldn't take it. It really isn't for know-it-all trade junkies. If that's your personality you can provide us liquidity and we'll thank you for it.
In the end, though in any trading course it's the support that matters. And they are great at that. There is no substitute for experience and rather than spoon feeding you, you have the opportunity to trade with a trader advising you, not calling trades without explanation during market hours and globex hours as well, not to mention classes four days a week.

I am new to the e-mini but am very impressed with the intensity, knowledge, and passion of the traders on the site. Well worth the money to learn from REAL traders using the same charts they are. The rooms are open all the trading day and classes at night.

I subscribed to Larry's lifetime deal several months ago. I am an OK trader with a couple years' experience.
You receive a lot of material: books, book bag, hat. Who needs the book bag or the hat. (I gave them to the kids instead of trashing them directly.) Additionally you get time in their trading rooms.
Larry teaches trading the ES with Market Profile along with some other techniques for catching trends.
The books are informative with detailed setups, general methodology, psychological advice, etc. Some can be verbose with a lot of white space, but perhaps that's appropriate for the beginner. Others are better. They have recently rewritten many of the texts with new setups, updated charts, color, and new material, etc. They've taken account of client input, from what I hear. It has been much anticipated. I have not seen them yet, however.
The webinars are very good. You will definitely learn to trade from these. They have a very good and dedicated teacher in Patrick Assalone. He answers every question and is a good coach. He has an interesting personality which might bothersome until you get to know him. He's a good guy.
The trading rooms are something of a mixed bag. They have two trading rooms. One that's more scalping oriented, run by Dan O'Brian; the other is Market Profile based, run by Patrick. Dan's scalping room uses a MarketDelta-like volume footprint chart and Dan's proprietary algorithms (more on that later) to trade. Dan call's out most of his trades, but not always. Not sure if that's because the market moves too fast for him to get on the mic or what. There is a lot of banter-text that makes it hard to track trade related threads. There are, however, some very talented traders in the room and everyone is very nice and helpful.
Patrick's MP room is not a scalping room. They use Dan's algorithm and footprint charts but in an MP context. They take fewer trades for bigger moves. Patrick doesn't exactly call out trades, he more coaches you into them. He does a lot of teaching in the room. There is less banter. Again, everyone is very helpful.
Net: both rooms will teach you how to trade and make you money.
I do have some caveats about Larry's program. The use of Dan O'Brians _proprietary_ algorithm in the methodology means they don't teach you everything. Since they don't share the algorithm, you cannot code it up on your favorite platform. You thus have only two options: watch the charts via the trading room or use their TradeMaven based platform offered by their preferred broker of $80/month. Note too, that if you use the trading room chart, you can only use these techniques with the ES, since that's all they trade in the room.
Overall, Larry's program has made me a better trader and as long as Patrick Assalone is part of their team I'm confident I'll keep getting better. They charge a lot and I haven't earned it back yet, but it's coming.

Hello: While looking for ways to supplement my income, I came across Larry Levin's Trading Advantage®. I signed up and have gone through their course. As a "newbie" I had no old bad trading habits so it helped to learn everything. I cannot say enough great fantastic things about this program. It is simple to follow, the education is great, the instructor is fantastic. The customer service we receive is the best and they are always trying to help their students.

As I was trading options and Forex I was contacted by one of the representatives of Larry Levine's Trading Advantage®. After visiting their Virtual Trading room a few times and some more talk with the sales person I decided to take the jump and sign up.
I have now just stared the course but I can now already see that this is a different (Better) way of trading. No looking at a load of fancy indicators but instead reading the tape in real time.
The instructors are great and show you also in real time how and where to trade. Where to enter and where to place your stops and cut your losses. In my mind this is the only way to do it and i am pleased I took the jump.

I recently joined the program and have been through the entire course. Previously I have trading experience in stocks (which I did well with) and options (mixed results). With no real short term or long term strategy or focus, my options trading has deteriorated.
I always wanted to trade futures and the Secrets of Traders methodology is rock solid. If you want to learn to trade futures, this is one course you want to take. It teaches you real time trading methods and not using time lagging indicators. They also teach you to use simulators as you learn so you can see how powerful their tools are and to keep you from losing your real money as you are learning the trading techniques and building your trading foundations. I am 10x more confident in my trading skills and abilities now having gone through the program.
I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to day-trade and make consistent income day in day out.

I've been a lifetime-membership student with Trading Advantage® since July 2010. I rate it pretty highly. Students have direct access to the administration and instructors from early morning to late evening. There are two live trading rooms - one more conventional and a second focused on Market Profile trades and setups. There is also classroom instruction on trading available each evening and (for those that use the platform) Trade Maven instruction available during the day at least once each week. A novice trader should be advised that this is all about training and support - and not necessarily mirroring the trades of others. I've observed that intermediate and advanced traders - those with a few years of experience - are routinely satisfied with their Trading Advantage® experience.

We have been with Secrets of Traders for almost a year. We are still learning. The material is good. There are a series of lessons which show the criteria for entering specific types of trades. In the trading room they discuss the specific trades as they set up (although many happen quickly) and you can then decide if you want to take the trade or not.
They also teach trading psychology which I happen to think is a very important part of trading.
I think if you put the effort into reading, studying, listening to the materials you will be rewarded. It takes time to learn to trade-use the sim for a while before trading real money!

Trading Advantage® is the only school that I know of that actually teaches you how to be a trader. That being said, it is not easy to become a professional trader; it will take patience and persistence. But if you come in with an open mind and apply yourself, you will learn how to consistently be profitable trading.

There are thousands of courses out there. Everyone claims to be a market guru. I have tried several different approaches to understand how the market operates. Not until I joined " Secrets of Traders" did clarity arrive. The degree of hand holding, live lessons in real time, plus excellent reading materials make this a most comprehensive course.
The live course work covering Globex (overnight) and the day session are very good. Sure you have to put in hard work, but nothing worthwhile comes easy.

I just wanted to make a comment regarding Larry Levin's Trading Advantage® trading programs. I have been a paid subscriber for about 1 year and would like to submit that the training is very good with some of the most knowledgeable individuals in the industry with real experience in trading futures as my instructors. I have had nothing less than a positive experience with all of the individuals in the organization. The hard reality is if you think that you can buy a book for $35 on trading futures on Amazon and you will magically possess the skills and discipline to trade effectively is unrealistic. My profession as an Airline Pilot, required 4 years of academics and years of hands on experience with an instructor watching over me to prevent me from making any fatal mistakes is very similar to learning how to trade futures. I believe the personal attention that I have received has been invaluable and well worth the investment, which is tax deductible I might add. I understand the skepticism when money and sales are involved, we all must enter into these investments after completing our extensive due diligence. There are many companies and individuals promising guarantying positive returns, I have never been promised anything other than a top notch education, the rest is my responsibility, hard work and dedication to follow the rules and execute as instructed. As a Flight Instructor myself, I would like to make one last point, my instructors, Dan O'Brien and Patrick Assalone, are without a doubt the most dedicated individuals and are sincerely interested in your success. I hope this gives you an honest opinion of someone with real knowledge and experience with Larry's program.

If you want to learn anything in life, the best way is to find a mentor and learn what he/she teaches you. That's what Levin's course does. You can learn scalping or you can learn to trade on a longer time period. You can go into either room and ask questions and have your questions answered immediately like you'd expect from a mentor.
I am confident that I made the right decision to learn from these guys. I am learning techniques and utilizing tools that I don't believe I could get anywhere else. I was so satisfied with the progress I made with my initial trading course that I gladly upgraded my membership to lifetime

I have had trading education from 2 very reputable and large companies to become a professional day trader. However after some experience and learning the futures market I have come to realize many of the trading techniques and strategies taught by those companies require much too much risk to reward.
I would say to forget about what you have learned in the past and enter Trading Advantage® with an open mind. Trading Advantage® will teach you every aspect of trading from the emotional to the technical.
Since becoming a member and student of Trading Advantage® I have begun to feel like a professional trader.
Trading Advantage® education is the best I've ever been involved with. Their material are excellent and improve all the time as market conditions might warrant.
There is no better instructor than Patrick Assalone.
TA has 2 great trading rooms. One with Dan O'Brien that does mostly scalping trading techniques. Another trading room with Patrick Assalone that focuses on Market Profile, swing trading, scalping and other proprietary strategies. Both trading rooms have and many professional and very knowledgeable traders who are also a great source of education and a great help to fellow students.
If you want to be successful just give Patrick 10% of the effort he puts into you and you will be successful. TA is your team.
Also, you do not need a large account to get started and trade the techniques TA teaches. they teach you how to take money from the market.

Mr. Levin and his head traders have worked to update comprehensive manuals covering their trading methodology. They provide on-line live trading experience in two rooms. One is focused on Market Profile short term trades, the other is predominantly focused on short term scalping.
The program is not inexpensive, but it is comprehensive. Recent customer service issues have been dealt with. Note: the on-going cost for the platform and brokerage associated with it are not included in the price of the program.
Trading is a tough business. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it. The program is realistic in term of setting expectations, learning how to limit losses, and learning the application of Market Profile Theory. Success can't be guaranteed in this business of e-mini S & P futures trading. This program, however, I believe will help me towards making me a successful trader.

TA is awesome! I've spent a lot of time and money exploring other educational companies that over promised and under delivered on the promises they made to their students. Trading Advantage® should be renamed Trading Integrity - the company and instructors provide more than they promise, are willing to show trades real time and post all their results. Want to learn how they do it? The instruction manuals go beyond offering trade set ups - they also address specific market context recommendations and illustrate each one of the trades set ups they teach. Still need more information? attend one of the several hours of weekly classes or participate in the live trading rooms and ask, simple as that.
If you want to learn with "real live traders" and get real live results using a program that works, TA is my Top Pick.
And BTW: as far as I can tell, this is the only company that will teach you scalping techniques and swing trading using the Market Profile.

I was really new to trading when I signed up with TA, and was quite overwhelmed at first - the amount of material and trading techniques, so it took some time and work, but was well worth it. The support is great, including lessons and recordings, printed materials, questions/answers, training calls with Patrick (MP) and Larry Levin; and my sales rep. is always available to help. Market Profile (MP) trading room is irreplaceable in understanding of the overall picture of the market and gives accurate support/resistance areas to work with, and teachers in both rooms (and advanced students) are there to answer questions. They call out the trades, but the emphasis is on developing your own trading style. The program covers all aspects of trading, including discipline and emotions. Another great feature is continuous improvements/additions to the program. It does seem a bit pricey, but cheaper than college education, and potential is a lot greater. I'd highly recommend this program as I believe it could make you a great consistent trader.

I have known many would-be traders that spent thousands of dollars trying to learn to trade successfully through some cookie-cutter program, or lost even more to the markets trying to learn on their own, and finally gave it up altogether. I was one of them until I found Secrets of Traders. A few years ago, I lost my trading money relying on a broker without having a proven method of my own. It was several years before I accumulated enough extra money to take another run at it. I decided to give some money to a mentor this time and learn how to trade profitably, rather than give twice that much to the market and still be experimenting. Most of the programs I checked out seemed similar and all used the same indicators. I chose Secrets of Traders because Larry Levin has been a floor trader at CBOT for 20 years, and doesn't just teach the same indicators everybody else uses. I have learned how to trade following the methods of actual CBOT traders who use tools I had never seen on the run-of-the-mill trading websites. Normal indicators show what has already happened, or what "might" happen. The tools one learns in Secrets of Traders show you what is actually happening volume & price-wise, in time to get in on the move. The reps at Secrets are all available for questions at any time. There are 2 separate Virtual Trading Rooms that trade with different goals. The student can identify the trading goal that he/she is most comfortable learning, and is then mentored in how to apply those methods in a very customer service oriented, daily VTR environment. It's not "easy" learning to be patient and learning to use new tools in a fast moving, real time market. But, it's much easier than the frustration of watching your trading account dwindle to nothing because you haven't learned how to "read" the market and trade like a professional instead of an amateur. I would recommend Secrets of Traders to anyone willing to forget the old unsuccessful ways and learn a new, proven way to join the ranks of consistently prof itable traders.

To win in many endeavors it's necessary to have a slight edge over the competition. Anyone who has been trading for a length of time knows that. Last summer I mentioned my intent to trade, and a woman said she had tried trading forex for a few months, couldn't succeed, and concluded that it's nothing more than gambling. It seems she didn't have any edge at all. I've heard of people taking years to just begin to trade profitably, and this woman thinks she should be able to make a killing at it with no training or experience, and if she can't, then nobody can. Some of the comments in this forum seem to reflect a similar attitude: "Give me the concise formula for success, but if you can't do that, you're a shyster." If trading was as easy as some like to think it should be, almost everyone would be doing it and almost nobody would be making a significant income with it.
A slight edge in trading comes with application of several components, including determination, attitude, planning, and of course, training. Anyone can take a stab at something new, give up on it, and give it a failing grade without having put significant effort into it. I've been using Trading Advantage® materials, taking the classes, following the trading rooms, etc. since September. I'm still paper trading because I want to be sure my trades are consistently and adequately profitable before using real money, and I'm almost there. Learning and applying the concepts taught in the course is simple, but not easy because success requires changes in thought patterns, understanding of market concepts (the greatest edge I see in TA), preparation for trade execution, planning every trade, trading the plan, etc. Perhaps it comes easier to some than it does to me. Anyway, every week I see improvements in my understanding and application. The concepts and instruction are solid. I have almost captured my slight edge, and from where I sit it's clear that when I do, I won't have any concerns about income or retirement. I'm glad I signed up.

I am a student in Larry's Trading Advantage® course. I have learned a LOT in the year I've been with them. I started out learning the scalping techniques, and have moved on to learning the Market Profile swing trades. I am a MUCH better trader. Patrick Assalone is a GREAT teacher! Although Dan calls trades in his scalping room, Patrick "teaches you how to fish" so you can see the trades yourself, and don't need someone else to call them. I am happy I joined - I think it's an investment with good return!

I became a student of Trading Advantage® in May 2010. I had traded the Forex and was always interested in the commodities market. I knew I wanted to become a professional trader. I am about ready to retire from my business. I own a construction company in Lubbock, Texas. While I want to retire from my business I want to have an income stream that will allow me to compensate for inflation, and poor earnings on investments.
I became aware of Trading Advantage® and was led into the virtual trading room by Dan Lipsky, where Dan O'Brien was trading the mini S&P live. I was impressed because this was the first time I ever saw the real trading results of a trading school. The wins and the losses were both visible in real time. It was much more than a statement that someone could have faked.
I signed up for the course and began the nightly training sessions. I learned the various trades, the algo, tape reversal, secret sauce, etc. And opened practice account. From there I progressed into the Market Profile class with Patrick Assalone. I am extremely impressed with every aspect of the trading course, and will retire in June 2011. Not only have I secured an additional income stream in retirement, I now earn more than I did in my best years in construction.

As you are aware I am a student with Trading Advantage®. I joined late August of 2010. Started your training classes in early September and haven't looked back. Trading Advantage® was a find for me. I knew, after seeing all that was available to the student, I had to grab the lifetime membership. I believe Larry and company have created a wonderful learning environment. Not to mention all the fine tuning that is always going on. There was no way I could learn what I needed to, and wanted to, with my time constraints without going lifetime. The manuals and hands on teaching, calling trades in the room, are excellent. When you are able to see a trade being executed and having the technical reasons for taking it at the same time described, that equals priceless. This has allowed me to learn at my own pace, no pressure, and soak in all the great words of wisdom from Patrick and Dan. You offer 2 types of trading for the individual. You can either scalp for a point or better with Dan, short term trades, or work with the Market Profile and Patrick to find set ups for longer moves.
I started with the Consistent trading classroom with Patrick. After that first month I went to the Market Profile class. After that month I knew the MP was the place to be for me. I can't say enough good things about Patrick. All your questions are answered, over and over, if necessary. Goes out of his way to help everyone understand the material. What Patrick has taught me is the system works in real time day in and day out. The proof of the system is, in both Patrick's and Dan's rooms, trades are taken in real time and you see both the winners and losers. Sorry, just can't win them all. Nothing is hidden from anyone, it is all there for you to see. You trade by the rules and you will be successful. The results don't lie. They are both very successful. To become good at this though requires hard work and discipline on the students part. Trust me, it has not come to me overnight but with effort I am progressing nicely. I have turned my trading into one of a confident nature along with a much higher percentage of winners. Again, a credit to Patrick and MP. Taking the highest probability trades and running with them. I know I haven't even scratched the surface in learning all the techniques and that keeps me excited. Watching some of the older traders in the rooms and seeing how they have developed their own methods, and being daily winners, is fantastic. Just goes to show you that when you work with a system, that truly works, you can excel.
I could go on and on. Everyone I have ever dealt with has been nothing but overwhelming helpful. Send a private message and you have an almost instant response. VTR and MP room helpers are great with their added inputs. Everyone just wants to help and see you become the best you can be. They all take time out of their potential trades and answer your questions, long and short ones. The addition to allowing Patrick call trades in the MP room made a world of difference in my learning curve. When you have a play by play call of a potential trade setup it all just sinks in that much faster. Let's not forget the trades , even though they setup properly, Patrick keeps us out of because of market context. Not taking a bad trade is winning. You preserve your capital!
You are the professionals and are constantly upgrading as it is, but if I ever think of anything I think would benefit all concerned with trading I will forward you my ideas. Thanks for a great trading experience!

I have been impressed with my experience with Trading Advantage®. I was interested in them because some of the charts that I saw during my virtual trading room tour seemed to be extremely helpful in making good real-time trading decisions. I have found that they have been very flexible in working around my schedule. The recorded classes allow me to make up class when I have a conflict. I have not picked up the techniques as quickly as I expected to, unfortunately. However, I have found the staff anxious to make sure that I learn the techniques. They have given me extra time to learn and offered personal telephone calls to help me with personal direction. I am looking forward to mastering these trading techniques.

I am a lifetime member since June 2010. I have attended CTC and MP classes repeatedly. The basic format of the classes have not changed although the classes have continuously improved thru this time .I have traded the sim with mixed results and funded with poor losing results. I understand the concepts of the methodology but under pressure of the trade deviate from the rules repeatedly...I have to stick to the rules, attend more classes...do more sim trading...and I know will improve my results. From what I hear in the chat room this new book is more organized than the previous ones...I will wait and see.

I am continuing to learn from Patrick & Dan. Although I have been with TA since August 2010, I have yet to profit consistently. I do like the continuing guidance & education that TA provides which is why I paid for the lifetime membership because I do plan on succeeding in this profession. I think that you do need to be able to have the flexibility to day trade which is a problem that I have because of my current job. I remember asking my sales agent prior to signing up whether you needed to be able to day trade consistently to be successful, was told no but my experience has proven differently. I am not disappointed just frustrated because taking longer than I expected to be successful. Any how I feel that the new materials should aid me in my ability to improve my understanding of how to trade successfully.

I have been most impressed with the importance Trading Advantage® places on the mental aspects of trading. I intellectually understood and had a real sense of what Larry Levin was talking about in his book and manual about emotion free trading, but it was not until I actually traded (on the simulator) that I realized the utmost importance of this part of trading. The classes of coarse are spent on the techniques of trading, the setups, market context etc, but teacher Patrick Assalone continues to remind new students and reinforces to returning students of the pitfalls of not being in control of your mental approach to trading. Trading Advantage® has exceeded my expectations in this regard. I expected a great deal of quality in your material and training on how to trade the E mini S&P. Your product is not cheap but quality never is cheap. Trading Advantage® has a real sincere desire for their students to succeed, not just making a sale and moving on to the next sale. Trading Advantage® will be rewarded with this approach to their customers/students.
I am a CPA/tax accountant and have had a very limited amount of time to practice trading. Now that my busiest time of the year is almost over, I look forward to spending more time on studying and practice than when I first started with Trading Advantage®.

I joined Trading Advantage® in September of 2010 and immediately began taking the classes taught in the Consistent Trading Classroom covering all of the fundamental stuff necessary for trading including trade management, trading psychology, defining goals, among many other things necessary for successfully trading the markets that I have never learned in any other course I had taken. Along with these classes, I also attended the Market Profile classes at the same time. This proved to be a very heavy course load and I would strongly recommend new students take one class at a time because the amount of material taught can be overwhelming initially. After taking both classes for a month, I began trading on the simulator. This proved to be a fruitless effort as I was focusing on way too many trades at one time, trying to learn all of the trades taught by Trading Advantage®. I was told this over and over by Patrick but for some reason it never sunk in. I was also of the mindset that I somehow always knew better which way the market was going to go no matter what Patrick or Dan said. Once I finally decided to start taking things seriously and using only a couple of trades at one time, my trading results drastically improved. I went from being a consistent loser to finally making money every day. It is now March of 2011 and I have only had a couple losing days in the last month. I believe these results are a direct reflection of the amount of time that the staff at Trading Advantage® puts into the course as many changes have been made since I joined. Everyone at Trading Advantage® truly cares about each person in the group and devote an extraordinary amount of time into improving the course and ensuring that everyone in the group is successful. I could not have found a better place to invest my money into learning something about trading that is not taught anywhere else. I am truly thankful that I was able to find Trading Advantage®, I only wish it had been earlier and I could have avoided paying for other courses that truly robbed me of my time and money.

I bought a lifetime subscription to the software with my original training program when I first came to Secrets of Traders. After many months of difficulty I was discouraged and almost gave up, but then I bought the new lifetime package and am thinking now that I can still learn this business. Am convinced that Patrick has the best approach.

I started with classed Dec 6th and loved them from the beginning. I took a three week vacation over Christmas and new year to Hawaii and did not take the classes at that time but took all my study materials and read at the beach every day. I have been trading for a little over a month and am down during that period but not by much. My confidence is growing with every class I re-watch and all the study materials I read over n over. I am looking forward to the new materials and transferring all my notes to them as I read through. I am taking this class because this I my ticket to financial freedom. I currently own and operate a construction company in south east South Dakota but recently purchased land in Naples Florida and am planning to relocate there as soon as I can hone my skills in trading so I do not have to work like a dog to get a new company off the ground there. That's my story / I put every hour of free time I have into studding and watching the classes and virtual trading rooms. You have an excellent program with exceptional staff. As soon as I make my first 3k I will give it back to you for my lifetime membership!!

My genuine experience since joining Trading Advantage® has been quite great. I was sceptical of signing up with TA initially but since being here from November 2010, I believe this is the best investment I have made in my trading career.
I have read all the material provided by Trading Advantage® and even though some of the material was written in 2006 by Larry Levin and Dan O'Brien, I refer to the material on a daily basis and find the information is quite relevant in trading the e-minis today.
I believe Larry Levin, Dan O'Brien and Patrick Assalone are doing a great job.

I originally signed up with TA because I saw the delta chart and had just read "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator" about reading the tape. I knew this was different than anything else I've been exposed to before. It was only after I began taking the course I was introduced to Market Profile. I've been with TA about 8 months now and learning MP and how to read the tape has made a tremendous difference in my trading. The way Patrick presented the material and keeps reinforcing his teachings really helps because repetition is the key to learning. Some of the questions he gets seem really obvious but he doesn't get frustrated repeating answers which I find amazing. It would frustrate the hell out of me.
Dan is very helpful in his explanations also although I've since migrated more to the MP room as scalping doesn't appeal to me. It's too fast and I'm looking more for swing and position type trading.

I have been with the program since May 2010 and with MP since Sept. overall i am very pleased with my decision to come to this school. Both Dan and Patrick are great. I have made many mistakes and assumptions that led me to lose money but i am correcting all that and focusing on only a few trade setups. For example one of my assumptions was that i could make money while learning by "simply" following Dan in his trades. HAHAHAHAHAHa that did not happen and it cost me about $1000.00 I switched to sim for a couple of months learned some, went live and did poorly again. Returned to sim learned more and now i am live again focusing on one or two trades. I am at the break even level. on those trades i make money but sometimes i will have couple of loses which cost me. My broker is happy. I will probably return to sim for a while to practice more, but sim for me is too easy (no emotion) so i prefer to trade 1 lots which sucks but it speeds my learning.
I am really happy that the material has come out as many trades were not clear from the old books. also constant changing of rules in the mp room got me a bit confused, but that is changing for the better and most of it is probably addressed in the new material.

I wanted to tell you thank you. I like the way the room trades more conservative but aggressive also. I know that sounds crazy, but I really have improved my trading with this. I am only a one lot trader right now, but have been doing two lots a few times when dan does. When I first started in the room I was not taking all the signals, and it backfired on me because I was not getting the winners, but getting the losers which turned into losing days when the room was having winning days. In the last two weeks I have been trying to take all the signals the room takes a couple of times I cannot get filled because the signal happens so fast, and I understand that. However in those two weeks since I have been listening to the room only my profit after commissions is almost $2000 which is very good for a one lot guy. In your opinion is this what the room should do I know there are no guarantees, but when spending $600 a month that is alot of money,but if I can produce results like this with one lot only its worth the money. I asked dan to let me know if you ever come up with a auto program based on the room signals not the straight algo. The reason I would like that is Dan said he does not take all the trades based on certain things. Larry please let me know if this program ever becomes then I won't have to worry about getting filled, but only if it is based on the room not the other auto program. My phone # is 4192154695. "Powerful, Informative and helpful, with proven results" are some of the words that can be used to describe the "Secrets of Traders" training program and "Virtual Trading Room" However in my life I have come to realize that testimony is the most powerful way to share life experiences.
For years I have struggled to be a trader. On and off I tried different methods, my methods and others that I purchased that never produced any success .What always brought me back was my passion for the financial markets. I say that because I still have not figured out how if Larry is on the floor trading in the pits, how can he also be sitting in front of the computer you use in your live trading room? The only conclusion I can come to is that he must have one terrific communication system set up with his associates that are sitting in front of the computer. But, although perplexing, it is not the reason I am writing to you today.
I am writing simply to say Thank You for your 30 minute "One-Time Trading" literature that you sent me, it has been the most useful piece of information that I have received from anyone connected to trading since I embarked on this journey last January. I truly wish that I had found you guys sooner - when I had the twenty grand that I started with. Instead of a couple of weeks ago when my trading capital was down below four thousand. But, don't cry for me, I am not looking for sympathy, because one, I know where it is located in the dictionary, and two, I have had a ball over the past few months as I have tried to figure out how to survive these markets. And even though I am literally hanging on by a thread right now (if the market does not get back down below 1417.50 today my trading days are over for a while)I know that trading this GD S&P 500 mini market can work and therefore be a legitimate means of augmenting my retirement income. But I am digressing from the reason of writing this email.
I simply wanted you to know that over the past five months the most helpful and useful advice I have received has come from you guys and I just wanted you to know how much I appreciated it. Unlike your book "How I Made $1,900,336.82 Trading Commodities" which appeared to me to simply be another Tim Robinson book, the information on one-time trading, Pivot Points and especially the Value Area has been priceless. For they have helped tremendously in taking the guess work out of this trading game. My goal, for now, is to try and make enough money trading so I can sign up for your course. Of course, from where I sit right now, when I make the required five grand I will probably feel who needs a mentor? After all I just made five grand. But, rest assured, I come from the old school where you pay back those that help you along the way. So God willing and the creek don't rise, I will be contacting you in a couple of months to sign up.
